Cosplayer Grand Prix” will be held from 1st May, 2023 (Monday), with a grand prix award of 1 million JPY for the champion (and cash awards totalling 2 million JPY).

■Overview of “My Favourite! Cosplayer Grand Prix”

In recent years, short-form video platforms such as Instagram’s Reels, YouTube’s Shorts, and TikTok have been gaining significant popularity, leading to the rise of many new influencers. While many cosplayers have focused mainly on photo posts in the past, there has been an increase in cosplayers who put efforts into live streaming and video content.

At Curecos, we have been committed to providing a platform connecting cosplayers and fans, as well as discovering new talent in the cosplay community. Cure Inc. is now launching this contest to unearth new and exciting aspects of cosplayers that can only be expressed through video content, and to cultivate the next generation of popular cosplay influencers. 

During the two-month contest period, contestants will upload cosplay videos and compete with their Grand Prix (GP) scores, which can be acquired by their interactions with fans and supporters and the winners will be decided based on their GP scores. 

■Collaboration events with popular influencers are also being held

In addition to cosplay videos posted by the contestants themselves, Cure Inc. have prepared bonus events in collaboration with popular influencers.

Popular influencers who are active on video-sharing apps such as TikTok and YouTube will participate in challenge quizzes and bonus points will be awarded to particularly noteworthy entries. This not only gives contestants an advantage in the overall GP point system of the contest, but also provides them with the opportunity to win luxurious privileges such as the chances to appear on the accounts of these popular influencers.
