With the vision of providing educational activities regarding cryptocurrency COT (Cosplay Token) and promoting the use of COT, COT Project is conducting activities to strengthen the expansion of the COT economy in Southeast Asia in the means of support for various events, communities and DAO activities.

With expertise built during previous COT events held in the Philippines, COT project will showcase the Noizu×Cure Cosplay Fashion Show during the “NoizuCon” event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, which is expected to attract over 10,000 participants from 29th September to 1st October, 2023.

Similar to other Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, Malaysia is one of the countries with vibrant cosplay activities. In cities like Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Johor Bahru, numerous cosplay events are being organised, and it is estimated that there are approximately 67,000 cosplayers in the country.
In such a multiracial country like Malaysia, there is a significant number of active Muslim cosplayers. A unique cosplay culture in Malaysia is the “Hijab Cosplay”, a culture in which Muslim women fold their ‘hijab,’ which is worn to cover the head, in origami-like styles as an alternative to character wigs.
For cosplayers based in such a multiracial, multicultural and multilingual country as Malaysia, COT – a tool allowing support and purchase activities for cosplayers without using language as the medium – possesses incredible market potential, and is expected to fulfil the community’s demand and to smoothly provide with users greater enjoyment of the cosplay community. Given the future potential of this market, events aimed at increasing COT awareness and usage in Malaysia are being organised.
The upcoming “NoizuCon” is a convention event that has been running for a decade. It is held at the ‘KLCC Convention Centre’ in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The number of attendees exceeded 10,000 last year.
At “Noizu×Cure Fashion Show”, cosplayers enjoying cosplay amid various cultures will perform, and multiple award winners will be selected after on-site judging. The total prize amounts to 2,000 Malaysian Ringgit, and winners will receive cash prizes and COTs. In addition, the grand prize winner will be granted the privilege to perform at the upcoming ‘Cure Cosplay Collection Stage’ scheduled to be held in Japan.

COT Project is forging business partnerships with partner companies in various Southeast Asian countries to accelerate marketing activities.
