Cosplay Token Project, which aims to promote awareness and utilisation of cryptocurrency Cosplay Token (COT), organised the “OtaCute Cosplay Festival” on 6th August, 2023 (Sunday), with OtaCute Philippines Inc. – an entity organising otaku events and operating the cosplay community app “Otasuke” primarily based in the Philippines – as the host organiser.
At Cosplay Token Project, various events are organised with the goal of enhancing the value of COT. The Philippines is one of the countries where marketing efforts are focused due to the high popularity of Japanese anime and cosplay culture, which creates opportunities for investment in related products and support for cosplayers.
This is the second event held in the Philippines this year, and this time it was a collaborative participation event (OtaCute Event DAO) where currency holders were involved in the content and operation of the event through DAO.
In addition to the Cosplay Token Project, corporate exhibition booths were also set up with sponsorships from three other companies.

■About the event
The “OtaCute Cosplay Festival 2023” was held at the Brooklyn Warehouse Event Hall in Manila, and the total number of attendees reached 1,000.

During the event, stage performances were presented by special guests, including the Japanese idol group “Fairy-Tales” and the Japanese boys’ group “SKYGARDEN,” which has been sweeping through the country since their debut in 2022.

At the corporate booths, three companies – BINANCE, GOLFIN, and Blue Cat – set up sponsored booths. In addition, various booths adopted “COT Pay,” allowing various payments using COTs. Over 100 transactions were conducted through holders during the event.

Furthermore, in this event, volunteers partially participated in event planning and operations through DAO. Activities such as promoting COT Pay usage, providing lectures to asset holders, and venue setup were managed by COT holders (OtaCute Event DAO). This marks the first step of providing a platform for asset holders themselves to make contributions, thus further enhancing the value of COT.
